Thierry Guyard – interlaces from Penrose tilings

The first contribution from a visitor to the site, Thierry Guyard invites us to discover interlaces, strongly inspired by geometry. He explains that these interlacing patterns are based on Penrose P2 paving structures.

In geometry, Penrose tiling are coverings of the plane discovered by the British mathematician and physicist Roger Penrose in the 1970s.

Interlaces, this tangle of lines and shapes passing over and under each other, literally turns our senses and perception upside down with its fascinating dynamic immobility…
